Many young people have also been assisted to set up their vocations after completing the training program.
More than 100 students from different parts of the country have benefited form the foundation through offer of scholarships, payment of school fees, distribution of stationeries, supply of uniforms, school sandals, bags, etc.
The above is in compliance with our mission of reaching out to needy children and our promise to support deserving children and needy widows.
I wish to use this opportunity to thank our friends who have graciously supported us in this mission..

WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP TO FIGHT POVERTY
|
| O |
ne often repeated Hadith of Prophet Muhammed (SAW) by Alhaja Ajoke Ahishat Afolabi is “None of you really believes, except he wants for his brother what he wants for himself”. This often repeated admonition of Prophet Mohammed is similar to the first Commandment of God in the Bible that “Love your neighbours as you love yourself”. |

To say that the Nigerian economy is in a parlous state is stating the obvious. And in the face of grueling poverty, decrepit infrastructure and government’s insensitivity to the plight of the less-privileged Nigerians. It behoves on you and I, philanthropists and corporate organizations invest in the education, health, well being and development of theses poor people in order to alleviate their plight.
The urgent need by well meaning persons to pull resources together in order to lessen the plight of widows, orphans, homeless people and particularly the ever increasing unemployed youth population cannot be overemphasized. According to official sources, about 80% of the nation’s youths are unemployed while about 10% are underemployed. No wonder then that the nation is constantly under siege. Armed robbery, touting, Prostitution, banditry, kidnapping for ransom and other crimes can be traced to frustration and despair of youths who could not get gainful employment.
Lack of care and attention for orphans, widows, street children, the teeming army of unemployed youths and other less-privileged people is no doubt a time bomb waiting to explode. To defuse this bomb, let us come together by donating and contributing part of our God’s given wealth to the development and employment of the have-nots. By doing this, we are not only heeding the injunction of God, we are also making the society a better place to be. Remember, most of these less-privileged persons have great potentials capable of transforming the society if well harnessed and developed.
